The Department of Engineering has dedicated Audio Visual Support within the IT Services Division that manage and maintain the audio visual infrastructure.

Following the retirement of Bob Hepburn at the end of October 2013 AV support has been transferred to the IT Services Division. In the period between Bob's retirement and the recruitment of his replacement first line AV support will be provided by the Network Support technicians on a best effort basis as part of wider central IT support within the Department. The expectation is that a replacement for Bob will be in post after April 2014.
Where there are bespoke or non standard AV requirements that necessitate special equipment, room re-configuration or audiovisual capture and post-processing it would be helpful if these could be flagged at the earliest opportunity in order that support staff can determine how they can be accommodated. There may be instances in the short term where AV support historically provided by Bob will either be difficult or not possible to provide. Where this is the case IT Services will work with the Teaching Office to look at options for providing the necessary support.
