Java Tools

We have two different Java tools - one for simulating the magnetic field induced by an electromagnet, and the second for the magnetic field between the poles of a permanent magnet.


This applet demonstrates how the different parameters affect the magnetic field obtained in the air gap of an electromagnet.


The following variables can be changed: n, number of turns (top scrollbar); I, current through the coil (bottom scrollbar); Lm, mean length around core (right scrollbar); Lg, air gap distance (left scrollbar).
