Computer Based Teaching

Within the engineering department there has been a tradition of producing computer-based teaching material in house (Since 1984). For the most part we have concentrated on simulations of engineering systems.

Most of the Computer Based Teaching applications can run by logging on to a Teaching System terminal and typing the application name. Sometimes start XXX (where XXX is the name of the application) is necessary so that other support programs can be started too.

Two old lists of the programs we use are

Computer Based Teaching programs (sorted by subject area, dating from 2002)
software survey results (results of a 1997 survey to find out the software that teaching staff used)
