Error recovery
To reverse the effect of the last editing command, use the Undo
menu option or type C-x u
.
Whenever you save on top of any existing file, the old file is backed
up into a file whose name has an appended `~
'. emacs also backs up your
files automatically every so many key presses. The name of this auto-backed-up file is created from the original by adding a #
to each
end of the name.
