To reverse the effect of the last editing command, use the Undo
menu option or type C-x u.
Whenever you save on top of any existing file, the old file is backed
up into a file whose name has an appended `~'. emacs also backs up your
files automatically every so many key presses. The name of this auto-backed-up file is created from the original by adding a # to each
end of the name.
