Introduction

Graphics are used from various languages (Pascal, Fortran, C, C++) by programmers of differing sophistication for a range of purposes. Applications range from simple plots of a function to interactive programs using multiple windows with mouse and keyboard input. No single graphics option can satisfy these varied needs. This document summarises the graphics libraries available for teaching and research on the HP workstations. Background information is contained in the appendix and sample programs are included to give you a feel for the various options on offer.
