Software
Linux has lots of free software. Amongst the free packages available are
- LibreOffice (like Office - it used to be called OpenOffice)
- GIMP (like PhotoShop)
- F-Spot (like iPhoto)
- LibreOffice Impress (like PowerPoint)
- Octave (like Matlab, except for the graphics and toolboxes)
Linux is supported
by many software companies.
Currently installed purchased programs include Matlab, Creo, etc.
